"Maintenance free" general comment by RAAF personnel
Possible applications of APM's GPUs and Frequency Converters include:
Turbo prop aircraft
45 KVA GPUs are used for small engine civilian aircraft through to large turbo prop planes like the Hercules C130J.
Helicopters
Frequency converters and GPUs are used for both civilian and military helicopters - eg. Royal Australian Navy helicopters on HMAS Albatross and HMAS Sterling in West Australia.
Jet aircraft:
45 KVA through to 180 kVA GPUs and frequency converters are used to start small trainer jets through to Boeing 747's.
Remote sites:
Off road GPUs are used for remote Radar and Electronic Surveillance installations.
